Little Pod Association’s 4th Dog Show success

What a FUN FIDO FEST the Little Pod Association’s 4th Dog Show was with 80 dogs entered and many others along to learn the ropes for next time. It was a glorious sunny day and a magnificent sum of 2430€ was

raised. There was so much to see and do. Craft stalls, the ever popular tombola and raffle and not forgetting the delicious homemade jams and marmalade which flew off the Little Pod stall. Lots of goodies were enjoyed by all. The dogs provided entertainment too! Especially in the musical mats class where fluffy boy Theo thought he would cheat and carry the mat around with him, making sure he would always land on a mat. We had the cutest tailless dog in the waggiest tail class. Every dog stands a good chance of winning in a Little Pod dog show. The four vets from San Anton did a splendid job of judging and making the difficult decisions. Thanks goes to all involved for creating such a Pawesome day for everyone to enjoy. A special thank you to the sponsors whose support meant that the proceeds could go to paying outstanding vets bills.

The course, held onsite at the Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre near Alicante on March 11 and 12, was led by Finnish equine Shiatsu instructor Susanna Tuisku, assisted by Rita Uotila and Anne Hakala, who all generously donated their time and flew in from Finland especially for the event. “Rod and I welcome any course or event that increases people’s knowledge and teaches not just riding, but how to properly care for horses. It’s very positive and encourages owners down the path of considering the animal’s physical and mental welfare, beyond a horse as simply something to ride,” Easy Horse Care co-founder Sue Weeding said. The Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre, located just outside Rojales at Partido Lo Garriga, 59, opens to the public on the first Sunday of every month between 1pm and 4pm. Free horse tours run throughout the afternoon and refreshments are available in the café. For more details and directions, please visit www.easyhorsecare.net.
