What make of car should I buy next and which

manufacturers should I avoid?

This is a question that we get asked very regularly here at Javea Auto Sales, however the answer will depend on many different factors.

The length of time you intend to keep the car will come in to play, the number of kilometres that you are likely to drive, where you live may even be a consideration. In the current world of mainstream car manufacturing, there is no such thing as a bad car – there are many differing levels of quality, specifications and designs, however all modern cars are essentially fit for purpose and should all last for many years and 1000s upon 1000s of kilometres. A recent taxi ride in Morocco in an 8 year old Dacia Sandero with over 500,000 kms was living proof that even the budget manufacturers build their cars to last.

Just some of our large and varied selection of vehicles on display, all at one location to suit all budgets.

With a second-hand car in particular, condition is always far more important than the actual manufacturer, the age and to some extent the mileage. My own personal car has covered well over 200,000 kms and is more than 18 years old, however it has excellent history, no rust as it is a Spanish national car from a dry area, and I would hope that it will cover at least another 200,000 kms without major issues.

If you are thinking of changing your current vehicle, why not come down and have a chat with us (even if you are looking at a brand new car). We will happily give you some general advice and we can also give you an idea of what to expect to receive as a part exchange allowance for your current car – who knows, we may even make you an offer well above what the main dealer does. A friend of ours recently purchased a brand new car and was offered 4000€ for his car in part exchange (frankly an insult). We were able to offer very nearly DOUBLE this amount to buy his car directly, which also enabled him to get a slightly better deal on his new car as a cash buyer.

We have a wealth of experience here at Javea Auto Sales so feel free to come down and have a chat, we have a genuine enthusiasm for all things motoring so why not let us help you.

Enjoy the lighter nights, stay safe, and remember to be patient with the tourist season approaching – for some it will be their first time driving in a strange country so try and remember how it felt for yourself the first time – they are not all idiots that can’t drive, they may well be nervous and feeling stressed as they try and find their holiday home – we have all been that person once!
