Boost your workforce with the Skills Bank


Employers are being urged to apply for a share of a new £17m training fund, part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).


Sheffield City Region's Skills


Bank aims to provide a one- stop-shop to bridge the productivity gap, drive business growth and boost the region's prosperity. The Skills Bank has a target


of creating 70,000 new private sector jobs over the next ten years and aims to remove barriers to up skilling staff to help companies grow. The Chamber has been


approved to deliver training courses or qualifications to businesses that fall within the Sheffield City Region’s borders. These include Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Doncaster, North East Derbyshire, Rotherham and Sheffield. As well as the Chamber’s open course programmes and bespoke


training, it also offers Director Development and Managers Development programmes. Most leaders have the ability to achieve great things. Regardless of your


level of leadership, the Chamber can offer training that will support you on your journey to becoming a great leader - with a great team behind you. New dates for these programmes start this spring, giving you the boost


you need to drive growth and performance, with access to funding of up to 70% towards the cost of the course.


MANAGERS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME Starts 25 April This seven-day programme is designed in a modular format for those who are, or aspire to be, managers of others. It is focused on the key topics needed to be effective and efficient within a manager's role – where decisions made often have implications on others, including those in other departments, internal and external customers and partner organisations.


DIRECTOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME Starts 26 April This practical ‘how to’ programme, consisting of six days’ training over a three month period, will help get the best from your business and your employee. If you're a director or senior manager in a company, this programme is designed for you to make a real difference in the ability of your business to consistently achieve objectives. Supporting both directors, senior leaders and management teams, these


two courses will give you the tools you need to make your business thrive and survive.
