Festival No. 6, Portmeirion Fans of the cult 1960s TV series, The Prisoner, will need no explanation of the name of this festival. And they’ll be delighted to discover that it takes place in Portmeirion, the fantasy Italianate village that provided the backdrop to the series. This newcomer – it was fi rst held in 2012 – became an instant hit, winning ‘best new festival award’. It’s a quirky mix of live music, art, culture, pop-up theatre, fi lm screenings and Prisoner reconstructions.
