Shondell Mims “Wows” the Crowd in aid of the Teulada – Moraira Alzheimer’s Society (AFA)

Shondell Mims put on a stunning performance last month in Espai la Senieta, Moraira for the benefit of the Teulada – Moraira Alzheimer’s Society (AFA). The highly acclaimed Blues, Soul and Motown singer, accompanied by her saxophone player Achmed had the audience alternately enthralled and dancing in the aisles with a wonderful selection of music that included soul, blues, disco and even some gospel. The show was produced by Magnum Charity Concerts and once again proved a huge success for the local charity. AFA President Mrs. Sylvia Tatnell was introduced to the audience and very gratefully received the proceeds from the “Desperados” concert in January, which raised 1000€ for AFA from Magnum Productions COO Peter Johnson. A further 1200€ will be donated from the proceeds of the Shondell Mims concert thanks to the generosity of the audience.

Liverpool Band Concert 25th March

The next charity concert scheduled for 25th March features the renowned “Liverpool Band”, probably the best Beatles tribute here in Spain if not Europe. The Liverpool Band regularly play in the famous “Cavern Club” in Liverpool and with authentic instruments, stage act and performance, together with excellent vocal harmonies emulate the Fab 4 to a “T”. This will be a great opportunity to dig out those flower power shirts, loon pants and hippy beads and enjoy this fabulous tribute to the best-selling band of all time.
