Wake Up Your Tired Body By Sarah L Pearce

Personal Trainer & Fitness Coach

Physical activities increase the benefits of long term health. It’s advised to be as active as possible at least three times a week. This keeps your heart beating at a steady pace.

Find an activity you actually enjoy as this will result in adherence, whether it be walking, running, swimming or dance or aerobic classes. This can also be accompanied with other relaxing mind healing activities such as yoga or pilates. Team this with a healthy eating plan and your body will quickly benefit not just physically when you lose a few pounds, but your mind will be clearer, your energy levels will be improved and your motivation will be increased. We’ve all heard of those happy hormones “endorphins”, these are released during exercise and improve your mood and reduce stress and anxiety.

Good health is necessary for carrying out daily tasks, as well as reducing risks such as heart problems or diabetes, with more benefits being strengthening of bones and muscles to name only a few.

So only positives will come from taking care of the place in which we live: our body. Treat it with the respect it deserves by investing in yourself. It’s never too late to get started.
