Female Focus Go on...KRU can do it!

NVQs are a British qualification, and even if you are offering the qualification here in Spain, the standards and requirements are exactly the same as back in the UK. KRU have just had their latest inspection and having passed with flying colours are in the very best position to help you with your training and future career and earnings aspirations.

However, not everybody wants to go the whole hog to obtain an NVQ straight off; sometimes people like to dip their toes into the water first, to see if they enjoy a job and to see if it fits with their lifestyle.

For this reason KRU Hair and Beauty Academy are now offering some short and intensive courses for you to receive training and try out and experience various possible careers.

Intensive barbering courses

KRU are offering a very special in-house course. To do a basic barbering course you would usually need at least 10 models. However, here at KRU we take our training courses extremely seriously, and we believe that 20 models in total will give you a much better, solid grounding. Plus working in the KRU salon as a junior stylist, we will teach you the basics of shampooing, reception, health and safety, customer awareness, etiquette and working as a team member.

All of this will give you an extremely good start to a career as a barber! The course will be over 3 months, as there is a lot to take in, you will need to be prepared to become physically fit to enable you to stand for long periods of time and be able to take instruction to achieve the best training! Would you be up to all of this? It’s a very fulfilling and sociable career if you are.

The intensive course includes 10 hours a week private 1 to 1 training within the academy and supervised cutting of 20 gent’s hair along with 3 months full time experience working with the KRU team.

Intensive barbering course fee: €3,000 or choose to add the NVQ level 1 qualification in barbering for just an extra €650.

Open Day: 10am – 3pm Saturday 22nd April

We will be holding a free Open Day Workshop on Saturday 22nd April. Open to everyone to come along and try your hand at new skills and sample all the courses available. This will be an opportunity to meet the teachers and assessors, to see samples of their work and discuss the many courses and qualifications available. Come along for an informal creative day at KRU Hair and Beauty!

For 1-1 interviews with Jo Black, director of KRU Academy, appointments will need to be made in advance on 96 646 3970.

And also see us at The Health Beauty & Lifestyle Show on Wednesday 5th & Thursday 6th April

KRU will be at the Carrasco for this Show, which is dedicated to Health, Beauty, Wellbeing and Lifestyle. We will be indoors on stand 43 and will be displaying our cutting, colouring, micro blading,

barbering and semi-permanent make-up

skills. And Jo Black will be on stage in the outside talks and demos arena at 3pm on Thursday 6th April demonstrating 2 popular wedding hair looks within half an hour. Come and watch the professionals at work!
