comes to linens, themes and décor. “For 2017, I predict that the long-reigning queen of themes ‘Rustic-Chic’ will finally be overthrown! I anticipate a much more minimalist approach with some industrial influences for events and meetings,” says Bevenour. “I am thinking lots of deep neu- tral hues accented with matte metallics. I think clients are beginning to lean toward a less busy approach; they want uncom- plicated decor that allows the small touch- es to shine through.”


She further adds that she believes the event industry as a whole will gravitate toward an understated aesthetic in 2017, using more clean lines with fewer frills.


Bevenour also foresees a continued expansion in terms of the reach of the event and rental industry in the new year. “More than ever, we are seeing people from all walks of life who are willing to invest their hard earned money into remarkable events. Consumers are contin- uing to demand personalized and one-of- a-kind events, and our industry will contin- ue to expand in kind."


As for Choice Party Linen’s goals in 2017, she says that the company’s top priority always is maintaining a high level of cus- tomer satisfaction. “We put our reputation on the line with each event, whether we are talking about a single tablecloth for a dinner party or outfitting an entire venue with linen for a 1,500-attendee confer- ence. No job is too small to make a last- ing impression."


These are just a few predictions for the meeting and event industry.


As planners look into their own crystal balls in an effort to find creative ways to put forth unique experiences for attendees, it’s comforting to know that there are many visionary service providers available to help make the year ahead one that will be remembered for all the right reasons.
