FF - Your community magazine The Colina Club Celebrates 25 Years!
The Colina Club is celebrating its 25th Anniversary Year from opening at the beginning of 1991. It was the first purpose built Continuous Care Complex on the Costa Blanca and today it is still going from strength to strength...........
Mr. William Milner, known as “Bill” to his friends was one of the first residents to move into The Colina Club and he is still residing there today, having downsized from a two bedroom apartment to a one bedroom he says he feels safe and secure and would not want to be living anywhere else!
The good thing about living at The Colina Club is that you can keep your independence yet still have all the medical back-up available, including your own personal panic button alarm, monitored 24 hours a day, in case of an emergency and these services amongst others are included in the price of your monthly rental.
Looking back over the last year we have welcomed many new residents and celebrated Diamond Wedding Anniversaries as well as special Birthdays, 'May Day' parties and even a French Legion of Honour award given to John McMullen, who resides in their 20 bed Nursing Home, for his efforts in the Second World War.
At The Colina Club, in its tranquil setting in the hills above Calpe, all apartments have direct views of the Penion de Ifach and the sea. There are many social activities to join in with, if you desire. Every month there is a quiz night, lunches in various locations and there is a weekly Social Club as well as a bowling green and petanque pitch along with swimming in the summer........ The Colina Club is all about providing families with peace of mind and the security of excellent care and enjoying life in your senior years. So why not come and see for yourself as places are now much sought after and limited.
