Restaurant at The Inn at Swarthmore in Delaware County, PA Destination Delco - One Year Old and Already Drawing Thousands


One year ago, the Tourism Bureau for Delaware County rebranded itself as Destination Delco (formerly Brandywine Country). The results have been stunning and swift, as their new website has more than doubled its number of visits and added features like new blogs and driving tours that, by themselves, now attract more than 10,000 visitors a month.


“Delaware County is the unique, fun and eclectic heartbeat of southeastern Pennsylvania, located between Philly, the Delaware River and the Brandywine Valley,” notes Destination Delco’s executive director, and the driving force behind the bureau’s new brand, Tore Fiore.


Fiore explains that more than half a million people live in five distinctive neighborhoods, stitched together by the Delaware River and major highways in and around the region.


“Our website blends all of those personalities into a fun and inviting place where visitors get a true picture of who we are and all there is to do in Delaware County,” Fiore adds. “This is a place with world famous art and gardens, but it’s also a place where the beer is cold, great wine is grown and the good times can be found just about everywhere.”
