Gretchen McHale, director of sales for The Fillmore Philadelphia, encourages meeting planners seeking cool venues to also consider Tower Theater, a circa 1927 historical landmark, Theatre of Living Arts (TLA) and the recently opened Punch Line Philly. Tower Theater offers a large main stage, flexible seating and two balconies. The full venue accommodates up to 3,000 guests for corporate awards ceremonies, meetings, speaker tours and more.
Punch Line, just steps away from The Fillmore, is a comedy club, restaurant and bar. With seating for 300, it is highlighted by an outdoor patio, lobby bar and full-service food and beverage menus.
“For example,” continues Jablonowski, “if employees are being honored and they are all considered rock stars, a venue wrapped around music, such as The Fillmore or Hard Rock Café are ideal backdrops.
