Autumn / Christmas concerts The English choir of Teulada / Moraira, having taken a well earned
break over the summer months is back now, at rehearsal in Teulada. The choir will be singing on the 21st October in a concert with proceeds to the Anglican Chaplaincy, at Ermita San Josep Las Fustera.
The Choir's Autumn / Christmas concert will take place at 7pm on Saturday 5th November at Salon d’actos, Teulada. They are rehearsing a varied programme including some selections from The Sound of Music, Carousel, and Grease alongside a touch of Gilbert Sullivan and the hauntingly beautiful Londonderry Air, and finishing off with a medley of Christmas Music just to get you in the mood for the approaching festive season. The Choir meet to rehearse every Thursday from September to June from 4pm - 6pm in the Pensionista Suite opposite the Town Hall in Teulada. Make A Smile bring summer smiles
Over the summer holidays children from the Emaús homes have been treated to various days out organised by Tony Grande of Make A Smile and hosted by the Real Club Nautico of Calpe.
These days included sailing through the bay of Calpe in Tom’s 28 sailing boats, swimming in the sea and special trips to an ice cream parlour in the Port. The centre also offers rowing, paddle surfing, kayaking and snorkelling. “The children absolutely loved the sailing” said Ivan, one of the Emaús carers. “The excitement in the homes before and after the outing is a joy to see as the children don’t get many opportunities for this kind of activity”. Make A Smile would like to thank the expert sailing volunteers who gave up their time to take the children out, our friend Roger and also Pablo Braquehais, president of the Non Profit - Centro Náutico RCN Calpe who made it all possible.
