The Award categories are: BUSINESS START UP AWARD Sponsored by TRE Talk Radio Europe This award is open to all women who have achieved a personal goal to start up a business in 2015/16, whether a home business working around family, opening premises, or embarking on a new venture to result in a new business.
CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARD Sponsored by Currencies Direct This award is open to women who have demonstrated going the extra mile to provide outstanding customer service and surpass commitment to client’s needs.
COMMUNITY/ CHARITY WORKER OF THE YEAR AWARD (male or female) This award is open to MALE & FEMALE nominees who have contributed outstanding services to the community or to a specific charity on the Costas. This award will give businesses and the general public the opportunity to recognise someone’s outstanding work and commitment to either a community or a charitable organisation.
BEHIND THE SCENES AWARD (male or female) This award is open to MALE & FEMALE nominees for anyone who is The Rock! The support act, the person behind the scenes who supports a successful businesswoman, they could be the sounding board, the muscle, the babysitter, the cleaner, the cook or all the aforementioned! Without this supporting person, the successful business woman may not be where she is today! This is the ‘thank you’ award to that behind the scenes person!
HEALTH & BEAUTY AWARD Sponsored by The Health, Beauty & Lifestyle Show This award is open to all women within the health and beauty industry who have demonstrated promotion of this industry, raising the standards of service/ products with innovation of the industry to the Costas. (Launched new products/ services, opened new premises, been rated on Trip Advisor, trained/ employed/ coached within the industry.)
RISING STAR AWARD This award is open to women who have not only made a mark as women in business, but are also ‘women to watch’ in terms of future contribution. The winning entrant may be a future leader in business, or already head of a team, she could be just starting in business, forming her own company, or quickly rising through the ranks. An achiever!
MENTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD Sponsored by Aldertons, Property Finders This award is open to all women who demonstrate excellent skills to mentor other women in business by sharing information, providing guidance, motivation and support, encouraging independence and acts as an exemplary role model.
OUTSTANDING BUSINESS WOMAN OF THE YEAR Sponsored by HiFX This award is open to all women in business and will recognise a truly talented, exemplary and outstanding business woman who is an inspiration to us all and has achieved amazing goals in 2015/16. Entrants can self-nominate or be nominated by work colleagues, customers, suppliers, or other associates/ general public. Anyone can nominate more than one person in each category and also nominate them for more than one award category. Note! Two award categories are also applicable and open to male applicants. We will be notifying the 3 finalists in each category on 21st October, all finalists will receive a Jody Bell Goodie Bag and be invited to meet the judges on 2nd November, who following the judging criteria will make the final decision for the winner of each award category. On Thursday 1st December the Gala Awards Dinner Evening will take place at Venta La Chata, Calpe – Benissa N332, where a fantastic 4 course dinner and awards evening will be staged to recognise, celebrate, inspire and encourage the business women here on the Costas! Partners are also welcome to this function, ticket price is 55.00€ per head …… starting with red carpet arrival cocktails, accompanied by our saxophonist.
