Celebrating 25 Years of Mustang Love! In the far off distance one hears the
thunderous noise of galloping hooves of wild mustangs, and your mind instantly wanders to open spaces and freedom to ride like the wind. Now, if you are part of the Ottawa Mustang Club, you know that after 25 years you have experienced that exhilarating feeling! What an achievement - 25 years! The
whole thing started back in 1991 when the original group of four: Peter Donaldson, Tony Maddex, Dave Johnston and Peter Burton, came together at the Canadian Tire and Donut Shop parking lots on Carling. What held true back then remains true today: “people came for the cars and stayed for the friendships”. Over the years the club has travelled
to many a Ford event. From Ontario to the Mid-Atlantic States they have been witness to the Pro 5.0 movement that has names such as Stormin’ Norman and J.R. Granatelli. This passion and pride of club had members proudly wearing club shirts to all events, and had racers from as far way as California commenting “you guys are everywhere”. The enthusiasm has not stopped. From
May to October you can meet up with the club every Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Campbell Ford on Carling. The club meets and then it’s off for a cruise, or perhaps a coffee at Tim Horton’s. The key is to meet weekly, build friendships, and, of course, drive their cars. Own a Mustang and want to enjoy it
