Laviolette family went on a holiday to Florida. On a day when there were no activities planned, adventurous Gilles headed over to the local Rolls Royce dealership and he was hooked. A few months after his return from Florida, he met up again with his old friend Roger who informed him that a yellow Rolls Royce Corniche convertible was being sold at an auction. To his great disappointment that car sold to someone else. As luck will have it, a short time later the yellow convertible was back at the auction and Gilles bought it. He purchased his 1993 Porsche Carrera 2 around the same time. In 2003, Gilles headed to Newport,
