took a “Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour, just to locate all the major points of interest and learn how to navigate my way around the city. This was an excellent step to an “organized approach” to visiting the sites, but all it did was add to my list of “must- sees”. After a day of just being chauffeured around, I did stop at the National Gallery for a few hours (must return – need more time) then invested the rest of the evening in Piccadilly Circus (a night hot spot) wandering around talking to the locals, but mostly fellow tourists. The frustration was mounting, when I had to “shoe horn” in a visit to the Victoria & Albert and Imperial War Museums on the same day, because I spent too much time wandering around. Finally, it dawned on me that my tight schedule had neglected the all-important spontaneous fun time. In my haste to see everything at once, I had run out
