New head at SBS-Korea M


r Kim Jinwon is the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS).


He started his career as a reporter at Dong-A Broadcasting System (DBS) in 1975 and later joined Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) in 1981. He moved to SBS as one of its founding members in 1991.


Prior to being appointed President and CEO of SBS in November 2015, he served as Senior Vice President of the news division in 2005, Head of London Olympics planning division in 2010, and President and CEO of SBS Media Holdings in 2013. Mr Kim Jinwon was also the Vice President of the Korean Broadcasters Association and the


President of the National Association of Commercial Broadcasters in Korea. He graduated from Sogang University with a BA in Media and Communication.
