ABU Sports embark on New Initiatives

he ABU Sports Group Conference held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 28-30 May 2016 took several steps towards enhancing cooperation among its members. These included: the content sharing platform, production and transmission service, and activities related to training.


Members shared their experiences and feedback on the initiatives and expressed their support while, there were also concerns raised over its effectiveness. Delegates said the intention behind the initiatives; however, is good for members and the union in the long run.


An entire session with a panel discussion was devoted to the initiatives with an expert from different countries and agencies. ABU Sports made comprehensive presentations with justification and technical aspects of the initiatives. Members shared their perspectives, ideas and feedback to further improve initiatives.
