A delegate addressing the meeting

inners of the 4th edition of the Grand Prix Nova International Radio Festival were announced on Saturday 4th June, 2016 in Bucharest.

The EBU selected thirty-nine items from the ABU meeting 2015, which were produced by SLRC, ThaiPBS and NHK. Among them, the clips from ThaiPBS, a series of ‘the little scientist,’ were well received. While screening them, EBU members were clearly smiling and complimented that the clips were very naturally shot and they could see the children really having fun.

Ahead of the screening, there was a workshop on story- telling for children’s programs. Mr Andrew Brenner, a writer from the UK and working for many broadcasters, led the class. He reminded all the participants of their childhood, referring to what he has done in the past, and said that story- telling should stem from inside the directors/producers.

This year’s ABU Children’s TV Item Exchange and Meeting will be held in Bangkok and hosted by Thai PBS from 18 – 22 July.
