chronic than occasional users. As with other drugs, tolerance may develop over time such that the THC level in a chronic user may not correlate with the level of intoxication. Urine THC levels may persist for four weeks or longer because it is stored in the faty tissues of the body. It may be a challenge for companies to prove medical marijuana intoxication. As medical marijuana is approved
in more states, there may be increased pressure at the federal level to legalize it. How this will affect federal or state laws is not clear. Companies should stay informed about medical marijuana and may need to adjust their policies in this changing environment.
