many years it was a wonderful surprise to meet her last summer for the first time” said gallery owner Adam Edsall, “and I couldn’t quite believe that these colourful and dramatic seascapes were not already being exhibited in the town. Since last summer, her work here has been immensely popular and in only a short time Lynda’s beautiful canvases have made her one of our most successful artists.” Lynda made a conscious decision to pursue her love of art in 1998 by turning professional and her work has become increasingly popular over recent years, being found in many galleries around the country. her inspiration, gathered from nature, is evident in her most recent series of works – her powerful “Wave” series, capturing the colour and sunlight reflected in the crashing waters, whilst the wind-blown surf sparkles in the breeze. as Lynda puts it “Forever in awe of nature, I endeavour to capture a moment, a memory or a vista that has inspired me. I love the rugged coastline of the south West and especially the dramatic clifftops around Dartmouth and Start Point which have helped inspire me to create the seventh Wave collection”
