CALUM WEBSTER Dundonald Pharmacy, Dundonald


Calum has worked within Dundonald Pharmacy for over thirteen years, firmly establishing a reputation as a professional who frequently goes out of his way to ensure the patients he serves are given the best possible service. Calum spends his working days trying to ensure he delivers the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients. His pharmacy has taken on board any new idea that genuinely improves the health care of their patients such as the Minor Ailments Scheme, provision for unscheduled supply of medicines, PGDs for champix and chloramphenicol and NRT smoking cessation services. Furthermore, he has worked with a number of undergraduates through his assistance with the experiential learning unit of the Strathclyde University degree course. His customers find his passion and service un-paralleled.

HELENE JAFFREY


Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy, Hawick Branch, Hawick Helene Jaffrey joined the Hawick Branch of Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy over three years ago and immediately made an impact on the business. Having already established a successful career within pharmacy, she brought with her excellent relationships with local GPs and other health professionals in the town. Helene immediately began working on growing the pharmacy services and developing customer service within the branch, beginning with the Minor Ailment Service which was rarely offered/utilised previously. Through her leadership all staff have developed the confidence to deliver this service. Helene is also committed to improving the public health of the local community by ensuring that the branch delivers an extremely high quality of service in terms of both CMS and also the Smoking Cessation service. Her enthusiasm and leadership inspires everyone around her from peers through to customers.


GEORGE ROMANES


GLM Romanes Pharmacy, Duns George Romanes qualified from Robert Gordons, Aberdeen in 1978 and is now Superintendent of GLM Romanes Ltd Pharmacy Group. He was one of Scotland’s first supplementary prescribers in 2004 and has been an Independent Prescriber from 2009, working in areas including Stoma Care and Asthma. Responding to local need he has championed the care of Stoma patients in their local area through their community pharmacist rather than by distant Direct appliance contractors. He has excellent communication links with the local specialist stoma nurse that allows patients to be fast tracked for help if required. George is dedicated to his community; working on his day off is not a rare occurrence. He is passionate about out of hours and realises the challenges of an increasing elderly population that need help with their medicines.
