Elaine Hambley is an Accredited Checking Technician who has worked at the LloydsPharmacy store in Lochee for nine years. Elaine ensures patient satisfaction by playing a vital role within the pharmacy and working as part of the team to provide an excellent service. Due to Elaine’s dedication in providing quality care and an efficient service for all patients, she was the ideal candidate to become her area’s LloydsPharmacy Safer Care champion. She is confident and knowledgeable when it comes to good dispensing practice and has willingly shared her expertise as part of the Safer Care initiative due to her belief that the more information and good practice points that are shared amongst pharmacy teams, the safer the process, and ultimately patient care, will be.

BARRY HOUSTON
Hughes Chemist, Glasgow Barry has worked at Hughes Chemist for nineteen years. He has completed a variety of training courses throughout his career in here and is a very competent dispenser. Barry is a key holder for the shop and opens it early every morning. He regularly participates in all the services that are provided by the pharmacy. Barry is a regular attendee at day and evening meetings in the area which are organised by various departments within the Health Board. He runs the needle exchange programme within the shop and is a certified IEP Naloxone Trainer. Everyone recognises Barry as the one to contact within Hughes Chemist.
GILLIAN COSTLEY
Polwarth Pharmacy, Edinburgh Gillian has been a team member at Polwarth Pharmacy since 2004 and in that time has become a key member of the team, sourcing products promptly to ensure compliance, building and maintaining relationships with staff, customers and suppliers. She builds genuine and close relationships with all the pharmacy’s customers and patients and her depth of knowledge both behind and in front of the counter inspires her colleagues and instills faith and trust from her customers. She also brings a warmth and friendliness to the rest of the team, her enthusiasm is infectious and her overall commitment plays a role in keeping the pharmacy at the forefront of excellent pharmaceutical care.
