ROY CASTLE LUNG CANCER FOUNDATION DURING 2015 is a great year to become a Roy’s Runner, as the charity is celebrating its 25th Anniversary! When you Run for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation you will be supporting the only charity in

the UK wholly dedicated to the defeat of the UK’s deadliest cancer - lung cancer. The charity provides help and hope to people affected by lung cancer, funds research into the early detection of the disease, helps people to quit smoking and campaigns for better outcomes for lung cancer patients. Gareth Owen, Liverpool Half Marathon runner in 2013 told us: “Taking part in my first half marathon was stepping out of my comfort zone. I was nervous with the challenge I’d set myself. The support from the Roy’s Runners team was much needed at the various checkpoints - cheering and pushing me on. Reminding me why I set out to complete this marathon. The support was overwhelming.”
