Festival Feast – French Bistro Night. 7pm For 1 night only our festival executive chef Serin Aubrey recreates the atmosphere & menu from his much loved French Bistro nights for our opening night feast. Prosecco Tasting – 6.30 – 8.00pm An event not to be missed for all you Prosecco fans ... of which I know there are many in Dartmouth. Sponsored and hosted by the fabulous Emilia and Villa Sandi, this Prosecco sampling will take place in the Flavel with Nigel Pound of Totnes Wines. Five different Proseccos will be combined with tastings of the finest Italian cheeses & charcuterie. A great way to get the evening off to a flying start! Get Up And Cook with David Jones. 9:00 – 10:30 A fun, energetic, educational and interactive cooking session for all the family but especially for kids. Run by the Festival Director David Jones of Manna from Devon Cooking School and Leanne Tucker from Cafe Alf Resco, this is designed to get your festival Saturday off to a flying start. No need to book just turn up at The Flavel with your children and have fun!
Saturday Lunch with James Ramsden and Nigel Pound – 12.00 – 2.00pm New to the festival last year, James, an influential food blogger and pop-up supper club host, produced an amazing supper in the Community Cafe. This year we have let him loose in The Flavel where together with Nigel from Totnes Wines you will be sure to enjoy a fabulous Saturday lunch accompanied by a specially chosen selection of fine wines. Bake it Big with Glenn Cosby. 7.30pm He’s the man who bought big bakes to millions of TV viewers across the UK when he featured in 2013’s Series Four of the BBC’s Great British Bake Off. Back by popular demand David (Manna from Devon), Kit (Nonsuch House) and Tony (Kaywana Hall) once more don their aprons to provide you with a non-stop Sunday morning of entertainment & fabulous food. Their menu is always a closely guarded secret (some would say even to them!) but whatever they produce it is sure to be delicious and dished up with their own inimitable style of good humour. The main hall in the Flavel will once again be centre stage at the Festival this year. It has proved to be a wonderful asset for putting on some larger events and we have a packed programme lined up. RGC Inspirations of Dartmouth are installing a kitchen which will serve as kitchen, demo theatre and set for the various productions.
