There will of course be some great food to be had in the exhibitor marquees, Royal Avenue Gardens and all across the festival throughout the day but here are a few other ideas of where you might eat at the Festival this year. Many restaurants will be running special menus and other events but these are the ones who’ve published plans already.

Whilst the Children’s Festival is in full swing in the Gardens, the rest of us can enjoy tea, scones and cakes from the Dartmouth Caring Fundraising Marquee.

Drop into Avenue Gardens for lots of lovely things to taste from our exhibitors, local restaurants and many more. Open to young people who may bring a responsible adult.

Kick off the festival with a French Bistro evening masterminded by festival executive chef Serin Aubrey. Great food, great atmosphere and great music. Tickets £30. To book e-mail office@dartmouthfoodfestival.com or tel 07794 521194

Local fishmonger Mark Lobb recreates his fish stall in Browns. Choose your fish from a huge display, talk to Mark while he fillets your fish before the chefs at Browns cook it for you. To book call 01803 832572.
