he last big sale of Commonwealth Games tickets – for events from the Rugby Sevens, Athletics, Badminton, Weightliſting and the


Opening and Closing ceremonies – has been completed. Te Games’ organisers has confirmed that the finalising of venue layouts and


seating plans was completed with the release of contingency seating allowing even more seats to be released for public sale. Glasgow 2014 said that the ticketing


programme had enjoyed unprecedented success since its launch in August 2013, ensuring that the 4,500 athletes “competing for gold and glory” would do so in packed


stadia. It also meant, it said, that the Glasgow Commonwealth Games would be one of the most popular events in Scotland’s history. David Grevemberg, Chief Executive of


Glasgow 2014, said: “Te demand for Glasgow 2014 tickets has been incredible and we can’t wait to welcome the world to Glasgow and Scotland.”
