Business advice Glasgow entrepreneur has the key to business success
Christine McGrory established The Key in 2010 and her business has witnessed unprecedented growth despite others in the personal development industry experiencing challenges. The Key is helping Scottish small businesses to be more open and aware that positive change will happen only when they focus their energy and attention on creating what they want and are clear about their vision and purpose. The Key has now been
franchised in Glasgow, Edinburgh and a master franchise is being negotiated in London.
Christine’s daughter Megan
has recently launched The Key New Generation successfully into education, enabling young people to embrace the power of the Key philosophies and success principles. Creating four new businesses
and four new entrepreneurs within three years is an achievement Christine is extremely proud of. Christine has also created
The Key Corporate, a separate arm of the business showing teams, leaders and organisations that opportunity exists if they have the vision and belief to make it happen.

Investments DeAWM confirm sale of wealth management business
Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (DeAWM) has confirmed the sale of its regional wealth management business, which includes its offices in Scotland. The wealth businesses will once
again become branded Tilney and will be aligning with a sister company called Best Invest, creating a major UK wealth manager with more than £9 billion of client assets.
Paul Frame, Managing Director
and Head of DeAWM’s Glasgow office, said: “We are delighted to be reintroducing the Tilney brand and working with Best Invest. Our business will be unique, providing a full-service offering across all the wealth brackets, supported by an institutional investment process. Both firms share the same values providing clients with a personal service.”
The company will continue to
provide tailored investment services for private clients, companies, charities and trusts – offering advisory, discretionary and execution only services. These corporate developments
offer an extension to the existing services, including the ability for clients to make their own investment decisions online.
Making a business connection through Glasgow PA
A dedicated business network for PAs and office administrators in the Glasgow area is proving to be so successful that it has attracted several hundred members within the first few months of setting up. Glasgow PA was established
in response to requests from PAs working in businesses in the Glasgow area who had followed the ongoing success of its sister company Aberdeen PA. Set up by Scottish businesswoman Rosemary McLennan in 2010, Aberdeen PA gives companies a platform to promote themselves and their services to PAs,
while giving the PAs a way of networking with their peers to share advice and information. Aberdeen PA is an
impressive success story. When Rosemary identified a gap in the market for such a service she took a leap of faith and left her job in corporate hotel sales to set up her company. Within three years she signed the 1,000th PA member and now, four years on, Aberdeen PA has 1,500 members and more than 300 business members including some of London’s top hotels and key retail brands.
