February 23 Wedding fair, Hop Farm, Paddock Wood The fair will bring together some of the best wedding suppliers in the South East and will be showcased in the function rooms. Visit the “pamper zone” and watch make-up demonstrations, while in the bridal fitting zone brides will be trying on wedding gowns and accessories. If you are planning a wedding this is the perfect opportunity to see what is available locally and compare services and products. Open from 10am-4pm.

Behind the Scenes – Egyptology, Maidstone Museum Commemorating the anniversary of the opening of Tutankhamun’s tomb in February 1923 is this exclusive behind the scenes tour of Egyptology


collections at Maidstone Museum. Delving into the significance and stories behind shabtis, amulets, mummification and ceramics, this session offers the chance to explore the stores and see historic artefacts that aren’t currently on display. There is a maximum of 10 people per tour. Booking essential. Call 01622 602838.


MARCH March 3 and 31 Guided walk, Bradbourne House, East Malling Take a guided tour round this stunning Grade I listed


building with local historian Pete Batty as it reveals its often little known past which, in parts, dates back to Tudor times. Tours are approximately 1.5 hours and are mostly inside, but outdoor clothing is needed to visit the Hatton Gardens and the Parkland. People should arrive at 1.15pm. Cream tea will be served in the late afternoon and the walk finishes at 5pm. £20 per person.

Sevenoaks District Drama Festival, Stag Community Arts Centre, Sevenoaks The festival is a kaleidoscope of presentations from children, schools, youth theatre groups and adults from all over the district. On weekdays there will be primary school drama workshops. This non-competitive festival takes place in the Plaza Suite. Performances are assessed and feedback given. Admission is £7 per person.


March 15 & 16 Lambing Weekend, Hadlow College The sight of new-born lambs gambolling in the fields traditionally heralds the advent of Spring. Come and see newly-born lambs and participate in lambing shed talks. Tractor and trailer rides, sports demonstrations, tours of the Hadlow College animal management unit, and a host of stalls selling local produce, arts and crafts. Admission prices: Adults - £6.00, Family (two adults and up to three children) - £15.00, Concessions - £3.00. Open between 11am and 4pm.
