This listed building has been designed so you are stepping into working model of our universe. Celestial murals cover the walls and ceiling with illuminated stars; and a working planetarium surrounds you while you chat over coffee or wine or opt for a healthy vegetarian meal. During November and December the cafe will also open on Thursday and Friday evenings; and is also available for private parties.
Beyond the cafe is a small museum which pays homage to Postcard Artist Donald McGill, known today for his sauce and government prosecution and sadly long forgotten for his skill as an artist and his sharp eye. Here you can see his comic record of the last century.

Ever wanted to make your own Christmas wreaths or table centrepieces but not known where to start? With a little imagination and some expert guidance you’ll be making fabulous decorations in no time, at one of the Christmas Workshops taking place at Flowers by Nic throughout December. At £35 per session, Nic and the team will supply all the materials you need plus a warming glass of mulled-wine and delicious mince pie to conjure up a little Christmas spirit.
Made with seasonal foliage and adornments, all arrangements will be made on a base of oasis or moss so that you can keep the arrangement fresh throughout the festive period. Ask in store for workshop details.
Look out too for the new gifting range in store mid-November including beautiful Gisela Graham home wares and decorations.
Nic and the team will be making deliveries up until 2pm on Christmas Eve, so your loved ones’ gifts will arrive fresh and fragrant. Making the perfect addition to any home at Christmas.
