EVENTMAKERS DELAWARE
Wilmington - PM Hospitality Strategies announced that it has named Daniel Zwim as General Manager of the soon-to-open 180-room Westin Wilmington, which is connected to the Chase Convention Center on the Riverfront. The four-star hotel is located near such local attrac- tions as Frawley Stadium, Delaware Theater Company, Delaware Children’s Museum, Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, and a 15-screen IMAX theater.
NEW JERSEY
Avalon - The Golden Inn welcomed Justin Mogavero as its new General Manager, Charlotte Haman as Director of Sales and Marketing, and Jesse Goffredo as the new Executive Chef of all dining outlets at the property. The Golden Inn has three onsite restaurants: Seaglass, Luigi’s Pasta and Vino, and the Beach Club bar and din- ing.
East Rutherford - Steven S. Kaiser has joined the 427-room Hilton Meadowlands as General Manager. The hotel which converted to the Hilton brand from the Sheraton Meadowlands.
Trenton - Claudio Oliveira was promoted to General Manager of the Sun National Bank Center. Previously he had served as Assistant General Manager.
New Brunswick - Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed PatWeldon as Director
of Sales and Marketing for The Heldrich Hotel and Conference Center.
PENNSYLVANIA
Blue Bell - Veteran event industry professionals Dino Galanti, Senior Business Development Manager, and Jeff Litman, Sales Manager, recently joined Normandy Farm Hotel and Conference Center.
Lancaster - Judy Bagrowski has been named Senior Sales Manager for the Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia, and also for Omni Bedford Springs in Bedford, Pennsylvania. Her primary focus will be to represent these two resorts in Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and New York. Prior to joining The Omni Homestead team, Bagrowski most recently worked at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton in Lancaster.
Mechanicsburg - Choice Meetings announced that Mari Killian, an independent planner, will part- ner with the firm to provide sales, marketing and event management services. Prior to joining forces with Choice Meetings, Killian was the Meetings and Incentives Manager for a Fortune 500 commercial construction materials manufac- turer.
Philadelphia - Aaron Kleinle has been named Vice President of Catering Operations for the Garces Group. Dawn Bainbridge has been named Catering Sales Manager for Garces Catering, as they continue to expand their sales and event team and brand.
