This unique facility houses a variety of artists and craftsmen and includes space for exhibits, demonstrations and events.

The Arts Garage is located on the ground level of The Wave Parking Garage and Mixed Use Center, and is one of several initiatives that seek to bring new art and cultural attractions to Atlantic City.

Other recent projects include the revitalization of Dante Hall Theater under Stockton College’s operation, the creation of a 1.1-mile Sculpture Walk linking the Marina District properties under an agreement with the Noyes Museum and the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA); and large-scale public art installations throughout the city by the Atlantic City Alliance.

The aforementioned Wave Parking Garage and Mixed Use Center is a project of the CRDA. Recently completed, this parking garage is convenient to the Atlantic City Convention Center, Boardwalk Hall event arena, Tanger Outlets retail outlet district, and the shops and restaurants of the city’s popular Ducktown neighborhood. At a cost of $30 million dollars, The Wave is a five-story building with six levels of parking and for up to 1,180 vehicles. A 54,000-square foot rooftop array con- sisting of 1,677 solar panels and six spaces for electric vehi- cles to recharge complete this 400kW photovoltaic system.

Scores Atlantic City at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort is a $25 million, 35,000-square foot adult club that opened this sum- mer. Known for its unique, award winning, mega-sized outdoor stores combining retail with entertainment, conservation and outdoor education, Bass Pro Shops World Wide Sportsman has plans to add an 86,000-square foot “Best of Bass” retail attraction covering a city block along the entrance corridor to Atlantic City. It will feature some of the number one outdoor retailer’s signature attractions, including Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill, and an aquarium. Groundbreaking was held in October 2013 with a targeted spring 2015 opening.

Steel Pier, one of the boardwalk's most storied landmarks, will become a year-round attraction as part of its $100 million, three-phase makeover. New amusement rides, a food court and arcade area were completed in June 2012. Phase II includes plans for a museum, retail space and a 200-foot high Ferris wheel. The third and final phase calls for a new version of the Marine Ballroom, which will have 2,000 removable seats and a stage, allowing for use as a dance hall, concert arena or wedding chapel. Phase three renovations are expected to be complete in 2015.

As part of the CRDA’s Tourism District’s "Clean and Safe" ini- tiatives to create a more comfortable environment, new lighting has been added along the boardwalk, a crew of brightly- attired “Ambassadors” can now be found throughout the city who are available to provide information and assistance, a number of new pocket parks have opened, new signage is located at the beach entrances, and other enhancements have been made throughout the city.
