Fireplace at The Reeds at Shelter Haven, a luxury boutique hotel in Stone Harbor, NJ
Having opened in the summer of 2013, The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor along the southern New Jersey shore is a new luxury boutique hotel that acts as a true anchor for this seaside resort town. This hotel isn't just a summer escape - it is a year- round retreat destination, and it is well suited to accommodate the diverse needs of small- to mid-sized corporate meeting groups.
Minutes from Cape May and less than an hour fromAtlantic City, Stone Harbor is a quaint, charming, family-oriented beach town that is home to numerous boutique shops and stores, plenty of recreational opportunities and group activities, an array of restaurants and more. The Reeds at Shelter Haven is situated in the middle of it all and offers the added benefit of being just a short walk to and from the

beach. It's not necessary to walk, howev- er, as the hotel offers GEM cars to shuttle guests back and forth, and provides them with beach chairs and umbrellas, too.
While the surrounding community and local hospitality combine to make Stone Harbor an attractive meeting and event destination, The Reeds at Shelter Haven acts as a centerpiece and central hub with many offerings of its own, right on site. The hotel is designed to be a destination within a destination - created specifically with the success of corporate meetings, as well as a variety of social affairs, in mind.
Home to 37 guest rooms, including three hospitality suites that overlook the water, the property features the restaurant SAX at The Reeds for year-round dining, and the 2,600-square foot Sweet Grass Ballroom that is replete with the latest high-tech offerings complemented by a "coastal
chic" feel. Everything about the ballroom is state-of-the-art and top-of-the-line, yet it provides seaside touches like rustic wood floors, rustic tones and hues, and even a fireplace.
In addition,Sweet Grass Ballroom is divis- ible into two sections, which are in turn separated by an interior corridor for added privacy in the event that two events are being held simultaneously.
Julie Yeager, director of sales for The Reeds at Shelter Haven, added that the ballroom "features a wall with sliding nanoglass that includes views of the bay. Attendees can step out onto a covered veranda that flows out to a grassy outdoor lounge area for breakfast or during breaks. Just beyond the outdoor lounge is the beautiful restaurant deck of our Water Star Grille that overlooks the water. The restaurant offers seating for 180, including a section of the deck available for groups,
