The Reeds at Shelter Haven offers casual elegance and contemporary decor with a unique coastal
vibe along with two great venues for din- ing. Choose SAX at The Reeds for year- round breakfast, lunch or dinner. Water Star Grill’s seasonal outdoor deck over- looking the water can accommodate 180 people. It includes a circular bar and a separate section available for private group dining.
Formerly Claude’s in North Wildwood, The Establishment is a new, casual, upscale restaurant with a focus on farm- to-fork cuisine. The menu will change quarterly to feature locally available pro- duce of the season. Every dish is made from scratch using ingredients that are, whenever possible, from local farms. The wine list features wines from Napa to Tuscany, and the diverse specialty cock- tail menu changes seasonally to comple- ment the menu.
Another new addition to the South Jersey Shore restaurant scene is Sofia’s Italian Restaurant in Wildwood, which features a panini and espresso bar and lounge, Italian specialties and gourmet pizzas. Nightly entertainment is provided by jazz bands, comedians and live singers. Outdoor seating, catering, delivery and take out also are available.
After a major fire and flooding from “super storm” Sandy, the South Jersey Marina has been completely renovated. The key- stone of its restoration is Salt Water Cafe, which features traditional and affordable breakfast and lunch menus in a bright and well-appointed setting. Allowing for both indoor and outdoor dining, the cafe also offers scenic and interesting views within the harbor and marina district.
Thanks in large measure to the success of the cafe, South Jersey Marina has come to be regarded as a highly desirable venue for private events, fundraisers and monthly art exhibits. An all new Ships’ Store will house a delicatessen with views of vessels moored nearby.
