As Projects Assistant, I support the Chamber’s Projects Team. Tis is a diverse role as we are working on a wide range of projects, including an e-commerce feasibility testing project to help businesses to trade online, and recruitment support through Workforce Solutions.

What skills do you bring to the table/are required in your role?

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are an important part of my role, along with a strong commitment to doing what is right for Glasgow.

What has been your career highpoint?

Joining the Projects Team and having the opportunity to become involved in such a variety of activities. Each project is unique and presents different challenges and rewards.

What’s the best thing about Glasgow Chamber of Commerce?

I find it thoroughly rewarding to work for an organisation whose core purpose is to have a positive impact on Glasgow’s different sectors and communities.

What one thing would you wish for Glasgow between now and 2014?

To build on the city’s successful cultural events programme, so young people in Glasgow can access the same opportunities that are available elsewhere in Scotland.


What do you do to relax at the weekend?

Traditional music has always been an important part of my life as I have played the fiddle for almost 20 years. I also enjoy being outdoors, whether walking or cycling in the countryside or

What is your most embarrassing experience?

Every girl dreams about that moment when she walks down the aisle on her wedding day, and the congregation gasps at her serenity and loveliness. As I came through the door into the church on my wedding day, my shoe got

supporting my home team, Inverness Caledonian Tistle, as they conquer the SPL.

What is your favourite city outside the UK and why?

New York – my husband took me on a surprise holiday just before Christmas a few years ago and it was magical!

Book – Te House of the Spirits, Isabel Allende Film – Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Album – Lightweights and Gentlemen, Lau.
