Courses help those coming to the end of their careers cope with the tricky transition to full- time retirement
M
any people look forward with confidence to stopping working and
have planned their retirement for quite some time. However, for many other men and women, it comes as a life changing experience of enforced leisure and other changes which they find themselves ill-equipped to cope with, according to Te Scotish Pre-Retirement Council. Angela Fowlis, Director of the
charity, which offers educational courses to facilitate the change from working life to retirement, says too many fail to take advantage of the opportunities this new period of life offers.

guidance and advice on a variety of topics, covering everything from the financial and legal aspects of planning your retirement to keeping fit, voluntary and adult education opportunities and how to cope with relationship and family maters. Glasgow Chamber is delighted
