Upcoming events in this series include a visit to Linn Products on 25 April and to Royal Mail’s Glasgow Distribution Centre on 15 May. In March, we also held events


on the themes of sustainability and health, in association with event supporters Carbon Trust Scotland and Healthy Working Lives. A breakfast event hosted


jointly with the Carbon Trust looked at how businesses can reduce energy spend, save money and gain competitive advantage. A lunch exhibition entitled Healthy Business, Healthy Profits provided SMEs with information on key issues around health in the workplace, drawing their atention to the range of support services available. In addition to our events with


a local focus, we continue to explore opportunities in global markets, with a Doing Business


In India breakfast event held in March. Organised with Chamber Partners BDO and supported by Indian market entry specialists Sannam S4, it covered the challenges presented for businesses operating in the Indian market, such as finding the right local manager and employees, ethics and corruption, cultural and language barriers and red tape. We shall also have a range of


our regular networking events of various sizes. Te latest in our popular series of Women’s Networking Lunches was held at the Hotel du Vin One Devonshire Gardens on 27 March with guest speaker Adele Salveta from Radio Clyde. On 16 April, we are hosting a


business breakfast on Cyber Treats. Businesses atending will be taken through tools and services available to protect them from cyber atacks, viruses and other associated issues. Data management is becoming an increasing threat to businesses with new legislation coming into force with large penalties for business failing to comply. Te 2013 programme is


designed to provide maximum impact for your business.
