Think Dance
At the Macrobert in the last week in February the P6/7s participated in ‘Think Dance’ along with seven other schools in the Stirling area. The pupils had been practising their routine for ten weeks prior to the performance.
It started with the class splitting into three groups and making up a different routine, this was then linked together and put in to one full dance. The theme was ‘Dunblane Mysteries’ and the routine was choreographed to the music from The Pink Panther and James Bond theme tunes. On the day of our performance we went for a technical rehearsal where we also got to see behind the scenes as well as getting a special Think Dance t-shirt.
On the evening of the performance the children were all very excited and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the show. Some of the pupils were very nervous about it as the wait to go on stage was quite long. When they actually got on stage in front of a live audience they gave an amazing performance that was enjoyed by all. The only downside was that they couldn’t perform it again! Ben P6
St Marys Episcopal School Micro -Tyco!!
P4/5 and P6/7 at
St.Mary’s have been very busy for the last few weeks with a new project called Micro – Tyco. We were given £1 and then from that £1 pound we had to make as much money as possible! All of the groups did really well and we made £836.13 Wow!!
The whole school have been having a big treat with all the bake sales, movie lunches, car washing, busking and lots more! We held a Micro –Tyco night at the Dunblane centre which included a Disco and lots of other fun things to do such as a silent auction, chocolate fountain and hex -bug races!
Mia Shanks exclaimed “I thoroughly enjoyed the Micro –Tyco night!” Everybody has worked very hard and deserves a big pat on the back. By Archie M.
