Hello & welcome to the April issue of theWire
Where is the time going?? This year is marching by at a rate of knots and I’m hoping it’s not just my age creeping up on me!
Mine & Pamela’s 3 Land Challenge is also progressing rather faster than we’re ready for. Whilst we are saying that our fi rst marathon is AGES away, May 11th is just round the corner which is a bit worrying...
Training is coming along though and a big thanks to those people who wave or toot their horns as they drive past. It’s a great show of support and also does wonders for technique, speed etc as we strive to impress (at least until you are out of sight!).
It’s these
small things that keep you going - like walking up to the Keir roundabout and the ‘slow down’ sign comes on. Makes me smile every time, thinking ‘look at me go’ until a car comes whizzing past at least!
Fundrasing is also progressing well. Since our Ladies Night, we have been to the Marches in Stirling, where Pamela painted a huge number of delighted children (and adults!) and we are busy putting the fi nal touches to our ceilidh and a curry night at the Victoria Halls. It’s at the end of the month and at just £10 a ticket, will be a fantastic night out so please come along and support us.
You’ll also fi nd us fundraising outside Marks and Spencer on Saturday 6th April, so come and say hello if you can. Ceilidh tickets will be available then too!
April’s Wire is another packed edition with plenty to read and lots of things to do.
too, thre is a personal training session to be won! (p.33)
Remember, do get in touch with news and the events you’re planning and even if you miss the deadline, information can be added to our website. The latest magazine is also available to read online and extra copies can be found at the Dunblane Centre and at local libraries and shops.
enjoy the magazine!
