Above and left The Shoal, a 250m long kinetic sculpture, runs alongside part of the A11 gyratory road system that defines the perimeter of Stratford Island. Anodised titanium leaves are mounted in place using dampening shock-absorbers that allow a degree of movement, creating a shimmering effect during high winds.
Far left Stratford Island has long been host to a number of cultural venues such as Stratford Circus performing arts centre. Pools of warm white light lend the space a welcoming theatricality.
