Helpline As part of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce’s membership benefit, we offer a free legal advice helpline to businesses across the city. Below is a helpful guide to this service and all it offers.

What is the Legal Helpline? The Legal Helpline is a free legal advice service for members to discuss business related legal matters.

What is the value of assistance I can receive? Members have access to up to £65,000 worth of professional fees each year.

What sort of issues do these fees cover? The fees cover issues such as employment disputes, prosecution defence, employment awards or Tax, VAT, PAYE and NIC investigations.

How do I use the helpline? In the event of a dispute it is essential that you contact the Chamber Legal Advice Line at the earliest opportunity. Delaying notifying the insurers could jeopardise your ability to be covered, so if in doubt, call.

What services will the advice line offer? The Advice Line will provide member businesses with telephone based “signposting” advice about any legal issue and where possible prevent issues from escalating in the first place.
