Reach your potential
Junior Chamber
JCI Glasgow has a new leadership team. With Iain Brown completing his year as Chairman, the new Chairwoman is Lauren Murray, owner of Murray Recruitment – an employment agency which specialises in recruitment of commercial and engineering staff. Lauren has been a member of JCI Glasgow since 2011 and in the past year has held the roles of Membership Director and Deputy Chair on the Board. Lauren said: “JCI helps you to reach your
potential. I have been impressed by the abundance of activities and experiences. Over this past year I have made wonderful friends and been inspired by the projects and awards ceremonies. “It has been an incredible year and I intend to
continue the momentum into 2013 with an exciting diary of events. Tese include the popular ‘An evening with’ dinner series, with some guest speakers, including Amanda

Tere are also a number of local and national events including Leadership Academy, JCI Burns Supper in Edinburgh and Grampian Industrialist Awards in Aberdeen, to name a few.” Assisting Lauren this year are nine board
members and three members who are helping with PR, social media and community events. Lauren said: “Many are new members who
come from a variety of professions. All bring unique skills and experiences to the table
which allows us to continue to raise the profile of JCI Glasgow and provide top-quality events and a number of development opportunities for our members. We are delighted to have Kirsten Rice from Glasgow Chamber of Commerce as our Events Director and hope to continue to strengthen the bond between Glasgow Chamber and JCI Glasgow.”
