Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade Features Gypsy Vanners


Submitted by Katherine Mutti On Monday, October 8, 2012 seven Gypsy Vanner Horses and their riders participated repre- sented the Canadian Gypsy Vanner Horse Club in the Kitchener-Water- loo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade . The participants represent- ed four different Gypsy Vanner farms from Ontario and the riders & horses came in a variety of costumes and performance dress. Even the poop wagon was decorated…as a Gypsy


caravan! This was the first parade for many of these horses, and they started out BIG! This parade drew approximately 150,000 spectators over its 4.5 km route and was televised nationally on CTV.
