OBRA NEWS OCTOBER 2012 Bu Kari Garrett.

Spectacular colours, cool weather and candy floss are all signs of the OBRA fall season of barrel racing. The rainy weather held off for Milton Fall Fair for the first time in a few years. It was an incredible show and many thanks to “team” Karen Armstong and Milton Fall Fair for this event. OBRA then headed up to the Forest Fall Fair for a chilly weekend run. Lisa Scarlett and Forest Fair put on a great show. OBRA celebrated Thanksgiving week- end at the Erin Fall Fair on Sun- day and then headed to Brigden Fall Fair on Monday, as always great venues and awesome bar- rel racing. Please check out the OBRA website - www.OBRA.ca - for results. OBRA Grand Slam Finals ran the weekend of October 12- 14 to wrap up an exciting year of barrel racing. What a grand finale it was, with over a 130 competitors in the Open 4D classes, absolutely incredible numbers to round off an incredi- ble 2012 season. The 2012 OBRA Crew worked tirelessly to get the grounds ready, awards set up and to keep the show run- ning smoothly.

Pictured below are some of the OBRA Executive and Show Crew for 2012 , Christine Thorne (OBRA Vice President), Wayne Longfield ( Chute Boss), Rachel Clingen (OBRA Market- ing), David Clingen ( OBRA President), Adam Harrison and Bill Fotheringham ( OBRA Grounds Crew) , Carol Crane (OBRA Secretary/Treasurer) and Brian Barg (VIP Director and OBRA Announcer).
