COURSE LENGTH: 1 year ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:


4 GCSEs grades E – G or above including English Language or equivalent. Screening for literacy and numeracy to achieve a minimum of Entry 3.

Coursework and practical assessments.


 TV studio productions.  Filming and editing.  Photography, print poster design.  Presentations, research techniques.


PROGRESSION:


Progression to Level 2 will be subject to a satisfactory interview and reference.


L2 LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN MEDIA

LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN MEDIA


COURSE LENGTH: 2 years


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:


5 GCSEs at A* - C including English Language OR Merit or Distinction at an appropriate Level 2 Diploma including English Language at grade A* – C.


ASSESSMENT:


EXAMPLES OF UNITS STUDIED


Coursework and practical assessments.


 Animation, script writing, TV studio productions.


 Comic book design, film studies, advertising.


 Single camera productions i.e. music video, film trailers, documentaries and short film productions.


 Presentations, report writing, photography, print, film poster design.
