Support at EFC Pastoral Tutors


As a full-time student you will be assigned a Pastoral Tutor at the start of your course. See page 13 for more information.


Support when you start at College:


 Induction to the College, its facilities and resources.


 Induction to your course by your course tutor.


 A ‘New Students Parents’ Evening’ where tutors get the opportunity to introduce themselves and discuss the College and course with parents.


 Fresher’s Fayre – a fun event with lots of information to support you in College life.


Support during your studies:


 Attendance monitoring.  Regular meetings with your Pastoral Tutor.  Additional Learning Support if required.


 Functional Skills development to enhance your qualification and help with your application for University or work.


 Regular reports produced to show your current and predicted achievement.


 Parents Evenings.


 Work experience opportunities on many courses.


 Get your views heard, by becoming a course representative and/or attending course meetings.


 Fun courses to sign up to during lunch times and after College.


Help and Counselling


Help and Counselling is available to deal with any educational or personal problems that may impact on learning.
