COURSE LENGTH: 1 year


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:


4 GCSEs grades D or above including English Language and Maths or equivalent. Screening for literacy and numeracy to achieve a minimum of Entry 3.


ASSESSMENT:


EXAMPLES OF UNITS STUDIED


Practical work, portfolio assessment and online Gola Assessments.


 Wiring electrical equipment and circuits.


 Introduction to electronics.


 Introduction to basic maths and science used in engineering.


PROGRESSION:


Level 2 Electrical. Apprenticeship subject to satisfactory interviews and references.


This qualification does not lead directly to a job, but it prepares you to start other qualifications.


L2 LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS COURSE LENGTH: 1 year


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:


4 GCSEs grades C or above including English Language or equivalent and Maths and Science at grade C OR Merit or Distinction at an appropriate Level 1 programme.


ASSESSMENT:

 Overseeing the working environment.


 Diagnosing and correcting faults.


Level 3 Diploma in Electrical, Level 3 Apprenticeship or employment.


L3 LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS COURSE LENGTH: 1 year

Higher education, Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship or employment. Further qualifications.
