Level Three Vocational Courses Entry requirements


5 GCSEs grades A* – C with a minimum of at least D in English Language. Or a Merit or Distinction at Level 2 including English Language at grade D or above. Some courses may have additional entry requirements.


What will you study?


Equivalent to two A-Levels, Level 3 qualifications recognise the ability to gain and apply a range of knowledge, skills and understanding. Learning at this level involves obtaining detailed knowledge, developing vocational skills and the ability to analyse.


L3 E


Level Three Extended Vocational Courses Entry requirements


5 GCSEs grades A* - C including English Language or equivalent. Or a Merit or Distinction at Level 2 including English Language at grade C or above. Some courses may have additional entry requirements.


What will you study? Equivilant to three A levels, Extended Level 3 qualifications recognise the ability to gain and apply a range of knowledge, skills and understanding. Learning at this level involves obtaining detailed knowledge, developing vocational skills and the ability to analyse.


AL A-Levels


Entry requirements To succeed on an A-Level programme you will need to achieve a minimum of A* – B grades in at least five subjects including English Language, and also in a number of subjects Maths. Most A-Level students have several A* / A / B grades, especially in the subjects they want to study at A-Level. Short courses are not included. A Merit or Distinction at Level 2 in a relevant BTEC Diploma will be considered. All applicants will be considered on an individual basis.


Many courses will have additional requirements.


What will you study? Students choose three subjects to study at A Level. (Exceptional students may be able to study four). A-Levels give the student in-depth knowledge, understanding and analysis in their chosen subjects.
