Additional Learning Support
Additional Learning Support Epping Forest College welcomes Learners with Learning difficulties, disabilities and medical conditions. We recognise that everyone has the same rights of access to education and training and it is our aim to provide access for all.
We also recognise the individual difference and requirements of all learners and seek to remove barriers to learning. Our large experienced team of learning support assistants will continue your support at College.
Kelsie Abrahams Vickery Junior Secretary Level 2 gained Pass
Nominated for Achievement in the face of adversity School: Roding Valley High School Progression: Level 3 Secretarial at Epping Forest College
Kelsie has a condition which affects her fine motor skills and the teaching team were concerned when we offered her a place that she would find it difficult to type to an acceptable standard for a secretarial course.
Our additional support team made sure support mechanisms were put in place for Kelsie.
Kelsie has demonstrated determination to succeed from the beginning of the course and has excellent attendance and punctuality.
By persevering, Kelsie has been successful in all her exams, including the OCR Word Processing examinations. She can now touch type at 40 words per minute and is progressing to our legal secretarial course where I know she will build on these skills even further. Congratulations Kelsie!
