Founded by Dr Shuji Nakamuru, the inventor of blue and white LED, Soraa is the world’s leading developer of solid-state lighting technology built on pure gallium nitride substrates, commonly referred to as GaN on GaNTM. Only Soraa uses a pure GaN crystal to create simply perfect light. Soraa’s flagship product is the highest-performance LED MR16 halogen replacement lamp on the market.

All white LEDs are made from Gallium Nitride (GaN) crystals grown onto a dissimilar substrate. Sapphire and silicon carbide are used as the substrate for almost all LEDs made today. Only Soraa uses a perfectly matched GaN substrate to produce GaN on GaNTM LEDs. These perfect crystals produce more light per area than any other LED on the market.
